Heat recovery solutions at electrochemical plant

EIS have applied Process Integration (Pinch Technology) to identify opportunities to reduce energy costs at a facility in the UK that uses electrochemical processes to coat aluminium plates. Heat recovery solutions were developed and have now been implemented, reducing energy costs very significantly and achieving a project payback well under a year.

Following the initial successes, further opportunities to improve performance have been identified and are being implemented, including:
